Presenting Small Talk

About

Hi, I’m Kirra, a 22 year old Graphic Designer and Illustrator based in Western Sydney. After a long but short 4 years, I have completed my Bachelor of Design Visual Communications degree.

For as long as I can remember I have been creative. From finger painting in kindy, to art and photography during high school, to then studying design at uni, it’s who I am. Nothing brings me more joy than creating. As my journey began with art, I find most of my works include illustrative elements as I love the feeling of handcrafting something special from a pencil and paper to create unique and personal works.

Following my degree, I hope to bring my ideas of creativity and thoughtful thinking into the world and make an impact through my designs.

SMALL TALK

Small Talk is a Cognitive behavioural therapy-based resource designed to help young children learn and address tough emotions such as anxiety.

Research shows 1 in 14 children and young people aged 4 to 17 in Australia experience an anxiety disorder. Children can have a hard time expressing their emotions for different reasons which include stress and mental health issues such as anxiety. Small Talk aims to teach children what emotions are, how they feel and effective methods to self-manage them.

Small Talk is an engaging resource that includes a card deck, work booklet and merchandise such as stickers and bookmarks.
