About

The UN Day Schools Program is an initiative by the United Nations Association of Australia (NSW Division) to annually celebrate UN Day and invite NSW schools to hold a ‘Blue Mufti Day’ or hold other activities that highlight the work of the UN and build on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The program aims to inform students on the critical work of the United Nations and the Global Goals by engaging students through activities/ events across different grade levels which encourage them to take action for the SDGs.

UN Day also aims to strengthens schools’ commitment to nurturing global citizens and leaders of tomorrow and encourage & support schools to work in partnership with the community to achieve Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.
